6th Norton Scouts

Adventure. Friendship. Skills for Life.

🧭 Welcome to 6th Norton Scouts!

At 6th Norton Scouts, we offer young people aged 10½ to 14 years the chance to take on new challenges, make friends, and develop life-changing skills, all while having a brilliant time.

What We Do

Being a Scout is all about expanding horizons. Whether it’s learning how to read a map, cook outdoors, take part in first aid, or tackle a high ropes course, Scouts are constantly learning by doing. Our balanced programme includes:

  • Outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and pioneering
  • Team challenges that promote leadership and collaboration
  • Badgework that recognises personal achievement and skill development
  • Community service and environmental projects
  • Creative nights, games, and plenty of fun along the way

We aim to give Scouts the confidence and resilience to try new things, to think for themselves, and to take an active role in shaping their own adventures.

New members are always welcome. We maintain a warm and supportive atmosphere where each child is valued.

Uniform & What to Expect

Scouts wear a smart tan sweatshirt and neckerchief (or scarf) that proudly show they’re part of something bigger. Uniforms can be purchased locally or through the Scout Shop. We’ll guide you on what’s needed once your child joins.

No experience or prior knowledge is needed, just enthusiasm and a sense of adventure!
